He excels at complex problem-solving, assisting clients to navigate challenging, multifaceted issues by creating critical connections between technical, legal, and commercial teams. Derek is passionate about building a better country through infrastructure. Over his 20-year career, he has played an instrumental role in numerous social infrastructure projects, including the successful delivery of NSW’s social housing infrastructure program. When he’s not delivering infrastructure advice, Derek enjoys cooking and competing in endurance events.

He has played an instrumental role in numerous social infrastructure projects, including the successful delivery of NSW’s social housing infrastructure program. He excels at complex problem-solving, assisting public sector clients to navigate complex issues by creating critical connections between technical, legal, and commercial teams. Derek is known for his innovative approach, supporting his clients with bespoke collaborative contracting methodologies that minimise risk and optimise value for money.
Over the past decade, Derek has also developed substantial expertise in organisational change management and restructuring. He has assisted multiple public organisations to develop and implement best practice reporting and governance frameworks and agile working environments. When he’s not delivering infrastructure advice, Derek enjoys cooking and competing in endurance events.

Hamish Grenfell Senior Advisor
Hamish is an industry professional with over 8 years of experience in project delivery, disputes, cost, and procurement. He has developed a strong background in major infrastructure projects, working on projects through all stages of its lifecycle in delivery and advisory roles. Hamish’s passion for infrastructure projects and their successful delivery and operation is founded on his practical understanding of project costs, risk, and their impact on a project’s performance. Outside of work, Hamish enjoys spending time with his young family and is a keen surfer.

Hamish has 8 years’ professional experience in project delivery, commercial support, negotiations, constructability, and costing with a focus on complex road, rail and tunnel infrastructure. He has provided these services to various clients on major infrastructure projects from project development through to delivery. Hamish’s’ strong background in major infrastructure projects has developed from his roles as both contractor and client side. Having delivered infrastructure as the primary contractor Hamish has managed construction crews and subcontractors including resolving both constructability and commercial issues.
Hamish’s method is firmly rooted in practicality, providing his clients with precise and practical solutions drawn from his extensive firsthand knowledge. His consulting services cover a wide range of areas, including strategic cost and constructability guidance, commercial management, risk management, dispute resolution, due diligence, and program governance for projects in various stages of development and delivery.Building strong connections with his clients is a top priority for Hamish, and he excels in cooperative project settings.
Outside of his professional endeavours, Hamish spends his time surfing and fishing at the beach with his family and playing golf with friends.

Conrad is a commercial and transaction specialist with over 25 years of experience across major infrastructure projects in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His transaction and procurement strategy expertise are complimented by his ability to manage stakeholders, project risks and overall project management. He has extensive experience in the development of contract documentation and end-to-end transaction management for contracts on complex metro and other rail projects, including Sydney Metro City & South West, Digital Systems Program and the Parkes Special Activation Precinct. Conrad’s passion for solving problems on the largest and most complex projects, saw Conrad lead the transaction for the first competitively procured integrated station development in Australia.
On the weekend, you’ll find Conrad walking the trails around Sydney harbour or exploring one of the city’s many markets.
